Did you know some of the best ways to get traffic to your web site are free? Besides blogging let me list a few others.

1. Article marketing. Writing articles is a powerful way to brand yourself as an expert, and you can get a lot of targeted traffic as well. There are many article directories you can find by searching google, but one I definitely recommend is Ezine Articles. As of this writing I have a little over 100 articles there. This directory is very google friendly and one of the top ones. DO NOT MISS Ezine articles!

2. Video marketing. This is another very hot one. YouTube gets millions of visitors every month. A great way for people to get to know and trust you.

3. Social networking. Facebook and Twitter in particular are very popular now. It's important to interact with others as the more active you are the more likely it is that people will find you. There is software some people use to automatically add people but I don't recommend it. I think it's better to check profiles and know who you are adding. The more you have in common the better. By being friendly and adding value the more likely it is that people will check out your profile. On Twitter you can only list one web site but you can have more on Facebook. Also Twitter is microblogging and you are limited in each post to 140 characters. Facebook also allows you to add videos, post articles, etc. For that reason a lot of marketers prefer it.
