Don't like prospecting?

If you’re like most people with a network marketing business you don’t enjoy prospecting people. Going to the mall can be something we dread if we feel we must try and prospect someone......anyone.... while we are out shopping.

No matter how much you may love your business or product you probably don't want to use the "three foot rule" which is talk to anyone who comes within three feet of you.

Maybe you worked hard at this for awhile but since it felt like pulling teeth you stopped to rethink your approach. You knew it wouldn’t work if you resisted the process and you’re right.

It happens over and over. Someone will work up the courage to ‘go for it’ only to drop out eventually in frustration. It’s a dreadful cycle leading nowhere.

The truth is it takes a lot of strength to maintain the necessary belief system and play the numbers game long enough to win through cold calling, or prospecting people every where you go.

Yes, you can work on your belief and change how you look at things. That's very important no matter what method you use. But if we’re going to be real here… the old methods of prospecting are very intense, and they are not very duplicable either. Think of that sales clerk you are trying to talk to about your business..... what might be going through her mind? If I join will I have to do this too? It's only natural they might think this.

Now there may be circumstances where someone has given you great customer service, is very warm and friendly, and you think they could be someone great to work with. No harm in asking them if they keep their options open and perhaps giving them your card and getting their phone number.

But for the most part.... prospecting strangers is not the way to go. I don't know of any six figure income earners in MLM who got that way talking to strangers.

Notice I am not talking about talking to friends and family. I do know networkers who have been very successful with just their warm market. The trust is there and that is a different matter. Whether or not someone approaches their warm market is a personal decision but I don't agree with many online marketers saying this is the way to failure.

But instead of trying to find the right thing to say to strangers as you go about your daily life, it's much more rewarding to see the power of attraction marketing. Then instead of us chasing people, we let people find us and come to us first. A lead you attract yourself is much more qualified as they have already expressed an interest in network marketing.

There is a formula you can follow to literally have your prospects calling and emailing you first… already interested in you and your business.

Of course there is a learning curve involved but very rewarding to learn how to leverage the Internet to position yourself as a leader in the eyes of your prospects. By the time you talk with someone they are already pre-sold on who you are. They will see value in your opinion.

Now, that’s an environment that is much more pleasant to work in.

For training something I highly recommend is Leaders Club.

This is designed to help you become a network marketing professional. Get access to member's only coaching calls, many archived articles and audio training lead capture pages and much more.

You can also purchase leads but it's not necessary. I joined for the training which is absolutely excellent.
